We are so proud to share this wonderful milestone from Lisa and the team in Kilfenora, St. Michael’s House — and especially from the amazing Paul and Alan, who are absolutely delighted with their new wheels!
Thanks to incredible dedication and community spirit, a brand-new minibus has been purchased entirely through fundraising, with funds raised during their Cyclethon in 2025. This is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose.
Transport plays such a vital role in everyday life — from getting to and from day centres, to attending holiday camps, activities and outings that bring joy, independence and connection. This new bus will make a real difference to Paul, Alan and everyone who uses the service each day.
A special mention to Kevin, who is pictured at the front of the bus alongside Lisa, and a huge thank you to Barry White, SMH Fleet Manager, for his ongoing support throughout the process.
We’d also like to give a heartfelt shout-out to all the family members who donated so generously and helped out on the day — your support and kindness made this celebration possible.
